Seiler Instrument was awarded the multi-year contract for the M2A2 Aiming Circle with equipment (NSN: 6675-01-067-0687, P/N: 11785090) by the United States Army Contracting Command in Warren, Michigan on July 10, 2013.
The procurement is a 5 year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The maximum potential quantity of this contract is for 3,000 systems with a maximum potential value of $20 million over the life of the contract.
The M2A2 Aiming Circle is used for the precise measurement of the azimuth and elevation angles of a target with the respect to a preselected baseline. Though primarily used for the orientation of indirect fire weapons (artillery & mortar systems), it can also be used for general topographical surveying.
