Full-Dome Projection Made to Measure
SPACEGATE delivers made-to-measure full-dome projections
SPACEGATE is a multi-channel digital projection system for domes from 6
to 14 m in diameter. Projection is from near the dome center, with the
center proper being reserved for the optical-mechanical planetarium
projector.

SPACEGATE DUO & QUINTO
SPACEGATE is available in two versions: DUO, for two-channel projection onto
small domes, and QUINTO, with five channels for larger and more demanding
installations.
SPACEGATE and planetarium projector
Without any problems, SPACEGATE can be integrated into existing planetarium
installations, no matter which projector make is installed. With the SKYMASTER
ZKP 4 small-size planetarium, SPACEGATE even shares the control system. In this
way you can combine the best of two worlds – analog and digital projection.

SPACEGATE versus fish-eye projector
Single projectors with fish-eye lenses lack sufficient resolution,
brightness and image quality, especially near the dome periphery. Moreover, they
occupy the position at the very dome center, which should better be reserved to
the planetarium projector. Locating a fish-eye projector off center deteriorates
image quality even further and gives rise to permanent shadows cast by the
planetarium projector. SPACEGATE avoids these compromises.
SPACEGATE for excellent image quality
SPACEGATE has been specially designed for dome projection. Into SPACEGATE
went our optical know-how and our rich experience with the design and
manufacturing of digital projectors.
SPACEGATE and the image data
SPACEGATE comes equipped with PowerDome, an adequate hardware and software
for the easy handling of still-image and video data. A master computer with
integrated sound application conducts the PC cluster with high-performance
graphics. Images are rendered in real time. Shows can be assembled via a time
bar with any command mode, similarly as with digital sound and video editing
stations.
