Marketing and Sales Coordinator

This unique position is geared towards a Marketing professional looking for an engaging and challenging new role. Will work under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and alongside a department of 6-10 sales and training professionals within Seiler Design Solutions – an architectural software distributor and training provider.

This position will spend 80% of their time working on Autodesk Marketing as required by Autodesk for Gold Partner Status.

Position Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret marketing data
  • Aid in Brand Awareness by creating content to help drive leads, subscriptions, etc.
  • Build and manage rich content that attracts a targeted audience to our Social Media presence
  • Help the Marketing Manager create and coordinate marketing plans for CAD/Geospatial division
  • Gather data and report to Autodesk. Apply for MDF funds
  • Develop and coordinate events with the Marketing Manager and create metrics for reporting data back to Autodesk and Management.
  • Take the lead role in tele-sales support through Autodesk quarterly call-out initiatives and record data in Autodesk Partner Portal.
  • Coordinate and work with Sales and Training departments to create, develop and publish “Thought Leadership” content for all Autodesk related to social media resources including, but not limited to: Website, LinkedIn, Google+, HTML email creation, newsletters and Blogs.
  • Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic to calls-to-action, creating landing pages, initiating follow-up calls, and developing lead generating content (including offers/promotions).
  • Assist in the design and development of advertising media such as whitepapers, ads, infographics, blogs, and other items as needed.

Requirements:

  • A 2-year degree and 2 years of experience in marketing and business/sales, or
  • A 4 year degree in Marketing/Business Administration
  • Graphic Design background is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone

 

 

Quality Manager

Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc., is seeking a candidate for Quality Manager for its aerospace and defense manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Directing a staff of 5-8 Quality Control technicians, including delegating, mentoring/developing, and evaluating.
  • Managing the Quality Management System including reviewing, writing, implementing, and auditing work instructions, procedures, quality assurance plans, non-conformance records, etc.
  • Analyzing current processes and procedures with a critical eye to continuously improve workflow
  • Working closely with the Compliance Team to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
  • Serve as primary interface with U.S. Government Quality Assurance Representative (QAR)

Specialized knowledge necessary for this position:

  • General Quality Control processes and procedures
  • Common defense/aerospace manufacturing methods, materials, specifications and product testing
  • Proficient to expert understanding of ISO and AS9100
  • Familiarity with export control regulations
  • Experience and proficiency in preparing AS9102 format First Article Test Reports
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to analyze non-conformances to identify root causes and develop corrective actions

Pre-requisites for this position include:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment, some of which must be in a leadership role
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Manager role with direct subordinates

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree – advanced degree preferred

 

 

Mechanical/Optical Engineer (temporary)

Seiler Instrument is seeking a Mechanical/Optical Engineer for a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work with our Sustaining Engineer to complete product designs and provide input on “in-the-works” designs for mechanical/optical instruments.
  • Create CAD drawings from existing products and/or new product specifications to incorporate product improvements and additional functions.

Specialized knowledge necessary for this position:

  • Recent Pro E/Creo experience is vital to this position.
  • Mechanical/optical design using OSLO. Expertise in Zemax or Code V may be considered in place of OSLO.

Other information:

  • This is a temporary assignment expected to last 6 months. Employment will be processed through our preferred temporary staffing agency.
  • Expected schedule will be M-F, 7:30am to 4:00pm, 40 hours per week with 30 minute lunch period.
  • Must be able to start immediately.

 

 

Dir. of Business Development and Sales

This position will be responsible for sales growth within the Manufacturing Division, predominantly in military/defense and aerospace industries. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, cold calling, customer visits, sales pipeline development, market development, trade shows, and sales negotiations and closings. This position is also responsible for the management, coaching and professional development of 2-3 sales personnel.

Required skills and abilities include:

  • Customer focused and action oriented
  • Self-motivated with strong project planning and organization skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build customer relationships, as well as negotiate and close sales
  • Strong attention to detail

Required experience and education include:

  • 10-15 years experience in the industries of defense, aerospace, and/or other military applications
  • Experience must include business development/sales and management
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Significant additional experience and training may be considered in place of a degree
  • Must have current, professional relationships with Defense and Aerospace prime contractors
  • Knowledge of precision machining including CNC, drilling, and milling, machining materials and processes, optical and mechanical assembly, and fabrication.

Candidates for this position must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and have experience with CRM software and other computer systems including database programs.

This position requires approximately 40% travel throughout the United States, including overnight travel. Candidates must reside in the St. Louis Metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.

Earnings include weekly base salary and a monthly commission based on sales and margin.

 

 

CNC Machinist

Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc., is seeking a hard working CNC Machinist, eager to learn and work in a fast paced environment.

With normal supervision and coordination from the Department Supervisor, machinists interpret drawings, make appropriate CNC Machine set-ups and operate equipment in support of department component requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities of this position include:
1. Interpret drawings and dimensions to insure proper component processing.
2. Design, fabricate and install component fixtures in support of part processing.
3. Make quality measurements, analyze date, and make appropriate adjustments to meet part specifications.
4. Make component dimensional checks to assure proper component quality.
5. Operate shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
6. Complete documentation, records and information as required for each component.
7. Set up and run CNC equipment and be proficient in program interpretation and part compliance.
8. Run and measure to close and exact tolerances.
High school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years experience is preferred for this position. Prior experience with CNC Lathes and/or Mills is required. An Associate must have completed basic training on machine operations or have the equivalent machine knowledge and be able to demonstrate operational skills relating to the duties and responsibilities specified.
