AEC Pre-Sales & Training

Seiler Design Solutions, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Autodesk Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Autodesk products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented AEC Pre-Sales Engineer.  This candidate should be located in St. Louis, MO.

The primary responsibility for this position is to support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. Duties will include providing technical solutions by assessing customer needs, supporting internal sales and customer service, and teaching standard and custom training classes. Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The AEC Pre-Sales Engineer candidate should have a background in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with excellent customer service skills. Professional communications skills, public speaking ability and classroom organizational skills are a must for this position. Candidates should also possess computer interface skills to run a networked educational environment. Candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree in a related field and 3 years sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment. Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred. Help desk, tech support, and/or teaching experience preferred. Must have advanced user proficiency in the majority of the following Autodesk software packages:  AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Revit Structure, and Navisworks.

Geospatial Technical Support

Seiler Instrument Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Trimble Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Trimble products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented technician to provide support for our Geospatial/Survey Division.  This candidate must be located in the St. Louis area.

This position’s primary responsibilities include providing technical support and training for Trimble Geospatial/Survey products and software solutions, such as Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center software, GNSS receivers, robotic total stations and digital levels. Duties include providing technical support, supporting the sales initiative, and teaching training classes as needed.  Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering or Surveying with excellent customer service.  Candidates should also possess strong computer skills with experience in tech support. Public speaking ability and organizational skills are a must for this position.

1-2 years experience in training and supporting Trimble Geospatial software and hardware is required and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.  Experience with technical training and help desk experience a plus.  Additionally, a strong background in the field usage of Trimble Geospatial products is preferred.

Marketing and Inside Sales Support

Seiler Instrument/Seiler Design Solutions is seeking candidates who would be responsible for Marketing and Sales Support for our Design Software/Autodesk business segment in the Midwest region.  The primary responsibilities of Marketing and Sales Support position include:

  • Support marketing efforts including social media, blogs, phone call campaigns, email campaigns, and seminars
  • Provide sales representatives with qualified leads and assist with marketing efforts, setting up appointments, and handling transactional business.
  • Managing the database of existing customers and communicating with customers via telephone, email, and other electronic forms of communication.
  • Coordinate with division marketing manager, corporate marketing staff, external marketing consultant and vendors to define and execute marketing material both in print and email.
  • Help coordinate monthly webinars and short technical videos for our customer base.
  • Quote and close transactional sales and offer alternatives to customers by analyzing their interests and budgets. Determine suitable products and relevant value-add solutions.
  • Maintain friendly and ongoing relations with customers with a focus on resolving issues.
  • Other marketing/sales support duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.

Candidate must have an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 2+ years of marketing or sales experience, preferably in a software technical field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge is a plus and prior experience with Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) markets is preferred.  Candidates must be proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office products and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products. Experience with graphic design software a plus.  Excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are a must.

Mapping Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Installs mapping software and readies mapping equipment to be operable.
  2. Troubleshoots equipment, provides first line customer support, and routes customers to technical support staff. Assists walk-in customers as needed.
  3. Responsible for understanding software/hardware capabilities and communicating this information to customers and company associates.
  4. Processes and fills customer mapping orders. Use Visual to verify customer order processing information is correct.
  5. Use the Trimble database to register / update the customer’s hardware and software.
  6. Be able to interpret and understand technical data, assembly procedures and departmental system routines.
  7. Assists in monitoring inventory levels to support delivery requirements.
  8. Maintains procedures and work instructions per documented standards.

Minimum of high school diploma/GED and 12 months in customer service. Industry experience preferred.

Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers, fellow associates and company management. Documentation must be properly and accurately completed in order to understand and respond to customer questions. Basic computer skills are required including software installation and set-up.
