AEC Pre-Sales & Training

Seiler Design Solutions, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Autodesk Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Autodesk products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented AEC Pre-Sales Engineer.  This candidate should be located in St. Louis, MO.

The primary responsibility for this position is to support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. Duties will include providing technical solutions by assessing customer needs, supporting internal sales and customer service, and teaching standard and custom training classes. Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The AEC Pre-Sales Engineer candidate should have a background in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with excellent customer service skills. Professional communications skills, public speaking ability and classroom organizational skills are a must for this position. Candidates should also possess computer interface skills to run a networked educational environment. Candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree in a related field and 3 years sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment. Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred. Help desk, tech support, and/or teaching experience preferred. Must have advanced user proficiency in the majority of the following Autodesk software packages:  AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Revit Structure, and Navisworks.

Office Coordinator (Indianapolis)

Seiler Instrument Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking candidates for an Office Coordinator position in our Indianapolis, Indiana office.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting walk-in customers
  • Answering phone calls and directing calls to appropriate team members
  • Providing customer technical support for Survey solutions needing remedies
  • Providing inside sales assistance
  • Shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • Processing customer orders and invoicing though a computerized accounting system
  • Processing purchase orders for the restocking of retail items
  • Coordinating product repairs
  • Other general office duties including ordering supplies, data input, and contacting outside services such as building maintenance

Candidates for this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must conduct themselves in a professional manner. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and be able to multitask and prioritize. Candidates must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

This position requires an Associate’s Degree in a business related field and/or 5+ years experience in an administrative position with a high level of responsibility. Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft Office Products. Familiarity with the Surveying/Construction industry is strongly preferred.

Geospatial Technical Support (Three Positions Available)

Seiler Instrument Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Trimble Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Trimble products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented technician to provide support for our Geospatial/Survey Division.  This candidate must be located in the St. Louis area, the Indianapolis, IN area, or the Franklin, WI area.

This position’s primary responsibilities include providing technical support and training for Trimble Geospatial/Survey products and software solutions, such as Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center software, GNSS receivers, robotic total stations and digital levels. Duties include providing technical support, supporting the sales initiative, and teaching training classes as needed.  Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering or Surveying with excellent customer service.  Candidates should also possess strong computer skills with experience in tech support. Public speaking ability and organizational skills are a must for this position.

1-2 years experience in training and supporting Trimble Geospatial software and hardware is required and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.  Experience with technical training and help desk experience a plus.  Additionally, a strong background in the field usage of Trimble Geospatial products is preferred.

Mapping Sales Representative (Chicago/Westmont)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify key customers and markets in a designated territory that would be candidates for the mapping products.
  • Place prospecting calls to appropriate contacts.
  • Establish rapport with prospective customers.
  • Provide a value-add solution, remove obstacles, and close business.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers and provide post-sales assistance.
  • Build strong rapport with key business partners and local manufacturer reps.
  • Become familiar with Esri products related to field data collection.
  • Attend GIS-related events and join and participate in online GIS social media groups.
  • Keep the Mapping Sales Manager informed of trends or issues.
  • Keep up-to-date on new technology through training arranged by Mapping Sales Manager.
  • Serve as the main point-of-contact into Seiler for the customer.  Stay engaged with any related issue with every customer in the territory.
  • Stay on the road at least 50% of the time.
  • Be actively involved in the developmental plans for the company division.

Education and/or experience:

  • College degree and 2+ years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in a technical field.  Each year of appropriate additional experience can substitute for formal education.
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new technologies.
  • GIS/GPS knowledge a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Would prefer candidate already live in the area and be comfortable with the geography.

Significant local and regional travel is required. Some distance travel is required.
