Geospatial Technical Support

Seiler Instrument Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Trimble Reseller. We offer sales consulting, training and support for Trimble products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented technician to provide support for our Geospatial/Survey Division. This candidate must be located in the St. Louis area.

This position’s primary responsibilities include providing technical support and training for Trimble Geospatial/Survey products and software solutions, such as Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center software, GNSS receivers, robotic total stations and digital levels. Duties include providing technical support, supporting the sales initiative, and teaching training classes as needed. Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering or Surveying with excellent customer service. Candidates should also possess strong computer skills with experience in tech support. Public speaking ability and organizational skills are a must for this position.

1-2 years experience in training and supporting Trimble Geospatial software and hardware is required and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Experience with technical training and help desk experience a plus. Additionally, a strong background in the field usage of Trimble Geospatial products is preferred.

Administrative and Order Processing Assistant

Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc., is seeking a full time Administrative and Order Processing Assistant in the Mapping/GIS segment and Design Solutions (Autodesk) segment of the Geospatial Division. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will initially be responsible for purchasing, order entry, invoicing for two major segments of the Division as well as back up for the other segments and other administrative duties as needed.  This position will also be responsible for entering and updating database information to maintain accurate customer records in our CRM system.

Candidates for this position must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and be proficient with CRM software and other computer systems including database programs. Candidates must be able to input, distribute, and follow up all order processing responsibilities and assist with data entry.

Candidates must have the ability to plan, be detail oriented and possess excellent customer service, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.  Ideal candidates must maintain accuracy and have good follow up and follow through skills. Candidates must be comfortable working with computers and learning new technologies.

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years prior experience in an administrative setting.  Candidates with completed college coursework preferred. Prior experience working with Autodesk, Salesforce.com, or the Mapping industry is preferred.
