AEC Pre-Sales & Training

Seiler Design Solutions, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Autodesk Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Autodesk products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented AEC Pre-Sales Engineer.  This candidate should be located in St. Louis, MO.

The primary responsibility for this position is to support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. Duties will include providing technical solutions by assessing customer needs, supporting internal sales and customer service, and teaching standard and custom training classes. Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The AEC Pre-Sales Engineer candidate should have a background in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with excellent customer service skills. Professional communications skills, public speaking ability and classroom organizational skills are a must for this position. Candidates should also possess computer interface skills to run a networked educational environment. Candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree in a related field and 3 years sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment. Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred. Help desk, tech support, and/or teaching experience preferred. Must have advanced user proficiency in the majority of the following Autodesk software packages:  AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Revit Structure, and Navisworks.

Mapping Technical Support

Seiler Instrument Company is seeking candidates who would be responsible for providing technical support to all Seiler Instrument mapping customers.  The primary responsibilities of the Mapping Technical Support position include:

  • Assist sales associates by providing technical support, installation, and short training courses to customers for pre and post sales of products.
  • Perform basic service repairs as well as coordinate with service technicians on other item repairs.
  • Provide customer service by following up on repairs, training customers on hardware and software, and coordinating with the customer and sales staff to rectify equipment problems.
  • Handle high end support cases for the Trimble product line.
  • Lead training sessions to keep the Mapping team informed of product developments.
  • Assist in order processing

Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in a GIS related field or a minimum of 4 years experience working with GIS/GPS technology.  ESRI knowledge is a plus and prior experience with construction project and sales processes, especially pertaining to general contractors and subcontractors, is preferred.  Candidates must be proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office products and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products.  Excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are a must.  Candidates must have the ability to articulate technical material, define problems, and collect data.

Customer Service Representative

Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc., is seeking an Customer Service Representative in our Geospatial-Survey Division.

This position is responsible for:

  • Assisting with daily sales transactions including coordinating inside sales.
  • Conducting customer service activities such as responding to customer inquiries, providing cost estimates and following up on customer requests.  Customer service will be provided by telephone communications, email and other computer communications and written documents as well as greeting and providing service to walk in customers.
  • Managing inventory transactions including stocking, storage, documentation, and count accuracy.
  • Assembling items for distribution, processing materials per sales order requirements, packaging, shipping, and receiving business items and inventory.
  • Administrative duties which include processing and dissemination of operational documents.
  • Assisting with assembling, charging, and testing surveying products.

Candidates for this position must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and be comfortable with other computer systems including the internet and database programs. Candidates must be familiar with phone systems and should have a confident and consistent approach to customer contact.

Prior experience with in the Survey and/or Construction industry is essential for this position. Experience in data entry and general administration is preferred.  Candidates must be detail oriented and possess excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.  Candidates must be able to move, lift and carry up to fifty pounds without assistance.

This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED with two years experience in the survey and/or construction industry.

Geospatial Technical Support (Indianapolis)

Seiler Instrument Company, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an authorized Trimble Reseller.  We offer sales consulting, training and support for Trimble products and solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated, success-oriented technician to provide support for our Geospatial/Survey Division.  This candidate must be located in the Indianapolis, IN area.

This position’s primary responsibilities include providing technical support and training for Trimble Geospatial/Survey products and software solutions, such as Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center software, GNSS receivers, robotic total stations and digital levels. Duties include providing technical support, supporting the sales initiative, and teaching training classes as needed.  Significant local travel and some long distance travel will be required for this position.

The candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering or Surveying with excellent customer service.  Candidates should also possess strong computer skills with experience in tech support. Public speaking ability and organizational skills are a must for this position.

1-2 years experience in training and supporting Trimble Geospatial software and hardware is required and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.  Experience with technical training and help desk experience a plus.  Additionally, a strong background in the field usage of Trimble Geospatial products is preferred.
